AND TO FINISH, YET ANOTHER NOVEL ADAPTATION. THIS TIME FROM BRITISH AUTHOR NICK HORNBY, THIS LOSE ADAPTATION IS SET ON A LONDON ROOF, ON NEW YEAR’S EVE AND CONCERNS A QUARTET OF INDIVIDUALS CONTEMPLATING SUICIDE. Themes of regret, angst, depression, hope and promiscuity abound. From acclaimed French director, Pascal Chaumeil (Heartbreaker) A Long Way Down actually boasts an impressive cast. Veteran performers Pierce Brosnan, Rosamund Pike and Toni Collette bring some gravitas to the proceedings, while Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul and impressive newcomer Imogen Poots inject some young blood to the proceedings. Not the most uplifting of premises to start with, but A Long Way Down won’t necessarily leave you feeling that way.
