Anyone flying into or out of the UK must be able to power up any electronic devices or risk not being able to bring these devices with them. These measures have been brought in after the US advised additional security measures to be put in place for smartphones and other electronic devices.

Sky News reported that US security officials said that they fear that members of the Yemen-based al Qaeda have created smartphone bombs that can evade detection from regular airport scanners. So, be sure to charge any devices that you’re bringing in your hand luggage before you travel or you may have to leave them behind.
