Roche hit Jocks for six

ROCHE Emmets proved too strong for Naomh Mairtin B as they came through this Kevin Mullen Shield quarter-final with a comprehensive victory.

The game in Roche on Sunday afternoon was over as a contest long before the half time whistle had sounded with the hosts finding the net on four occasions in the opening period on their way to a 4-13 to 0-3 lead.

The Mairtins were always going to struggle in this match as Roche are a good outfit and have only having 16 players to choose from with the seniors playing at the same time and with other players unavailable.

Roche dominated the game from start to finish, but be fair to the Mairtins they plugged away for the whole game and had some fine performances from last year’s minors Joe McGrane and James Martin in particular.
