Number of burglaries in Drogheda over past week
Gardaí are investigating a number of burglaries in the Drogheda area over the past week.
The first took place sometime in the afternoon of Monday, October 2nd in the Beechwood Drive estate. A rear window of the property was smashed and an ipad was taken.
A shed in Rathmullan Park was broken into overnight between October 2nd and 3rd. A lawnmower was taken from the property. A house in the Beaubec estate on the Dublin Road was broken into on Thursday, October 5th at around 7.45pm.
Entry to the house was gained through the sunroom and a small quantity of cash was taken.
A house in Carmellite Cottages on the Marsh Road was also broken into on the 5th, sometime between 1.30pm and 11pm after a rear door of the property was forced open. A quantity of cash and jewellery was taken.
Three properties in Preston Mills, Wellington Quay were broken into on October 6th but one person was subsequently arrested in relation to the incidents and some property was recovered.
