Bonjour! Bonjourno! Wie gehts! Dia Dhiaibh! Hello! Hola!
Tuesday the 26th of September was National European Languages Day and in order to celebrate this the Transition Year Students of Ardee Community School organised a whole day of events dedicated to the language, culture, food and music of all the European countries associated with the school!
We have many students from various countries throughout Europe attending the school and they gave presentations about their language and culture. The students took pleasure in running a poster competition, an essay competition, a traditional costumes competition, quizzes, food tasting and film projections. It was a very successful day where all students and teachers in the school spoke in the various European Languages for the day. The prizes were kindly donated by the Home School Liaison Department.
