Gatecomesalive againforsession

Drogheda Independent - - NEWS - By HUBERT MURPHY

THE second Music at the Gate session on Saturday was another success story - with the sound of traditional music and airs surrounding the magical old location.

Seen as the perfect forerunner to the staging of the Fleadh, the Gate sessions attracted a large number of musicians, who got the craic going at 10.30am and continued on into the afternoon.

The event is seen as such a success that another gig has been organised for Saturday November 4 and all musicians and singers who want to come along are invited to do just that!

Those attending the event said they were delighted with the concept and now want to see the railings surrounding the Gate removed as they are not longer needed and hinder access around it.
