Run of the Coun­try raises over €11,000

THE Run of the Coun­try is a hugely pop­u­lar Char­ity Mo­tor Cy­cle fundraiser and Septem­ber 30th last marked the sev­enth year for this event which con­tin­ues to grow in suc­cess.

This year the mo­tor cy­cle run tal­lied a whop­ping €11,571.72 for Malta Ser­vices Drogheda which was just fan­tas­tic and sur­passed all ex­pec­ta­tions. Funds raised from this event will go di­rectly to­wards as­sist­ing peo­ple to work to­wards and achieve spe­cific per­sonal goals.

To date the Run has raised over €83,500 for lo­cal char­i­ties and this is the sec­ond year for Malta Ser­vices to ben­e­fit.

Malta Ser­vices Drogheda, sup­port over 100 adults to live a life of their choos­ing by pro­vid­ing ed­u­ca­tion and train­ing, in­for­ma­tion and ad­vice and prac­ti­cal as­sis­tance to sup­port them to achieve their goals. The or­gan­is­ers say sin­cere thanks again to all the bik­ers who par­tic­i­pated in this years run and par­tic­u­lar thanks to the event spon­sors in­clud­ing: Height for Hire, Kennedy Motorcycles, Tuites Butch­ers, BWG Drogheda Value Cen­tre, Marks and Spencers, Glan­bia, Tesco and Belview Eggs.
