Special mass takes place on the Hill of Slane on St Patrick’s Day

A special event takes place on the Hill of Slane - the spot where St. Patrick lit the Easter Fire - on St Patrick’s Day. It starts at 5p.m. on March 17 with Mass celebrated by Bishop Michael Smith at 5.30p.m. As this is an outdoor event please wrap up warmly and bring you own chair.

EAST Meath United FC would like the help from the younger members of the community to design a poster that will be used to promote their Football for All programme.

Entries are welcome from primary school age children in the area.

The winner will receive a €50 voucher for Lifestyle sports, and a family pass to Rathbeggan Lakes and the runner-up will get a €20 voucher for Lifestyle sports and a family pass to Rathbeggan Lakes.

The closing date is Friday 16th March. Please send your entries to football4all@eastmeathunited.ie.

The poster should feature a football, and the rest is up to the budding artists.

The winning entry will appear around the community.

Adam’s Wish

Duleek Womens Forum are running a Coffee Morning and Bring and Buy Sale on Tuesday morning 27th March at 10.30am in Duleek Courthouse. There will also be a raffle on the day with 1st prize of an Easter Egg Hamper along with several other prizes.

Meath County Council is seeking to provide a public playground in Stamullen. Expressions of Interest from landowner (s) are invited for land that is fit for purpose and located centrally in Stamullen village. Submissions by 4pm on Friday 16 March.
