Stole alloy car wheels

A 33-year-old man who stole alloy car wheels had ‘a moment of madness’ when committing the offence last year, his solicitor has said.

Slawomir Stasiuk, Athlumney Castle, Navan, pleaded guilty to taking two alloy car wheels and a spare wheel at Hammondstown, Dunleer, on 2 December.He has no previous convictions and the property was recovered. Solicitor Dermot Monahan added his client is raising two young children after his wife deserted the family to return to Poland. When €300 was paid to charity Judge Coughlan struck out the matter.
