Week of free events not to be missed

THE week of events starts on Monday March 4th with Making it happen: From 09.30hrs to 13.30hrs this is a free, half-day educationa­l and motivation­al conference for companies scaling in the North East, followed by lunch. This will be held in the The Mill Enterprise Hub, Drogheda, and all are welcome to attend, but it’s advisable to check for spaces.

THE following day on Tuesday 5th March, the success-stories of the future will be under the spotlight, as the Louth Student Enterprise Awards wil be held in the Carrickdal­e Hotel, Ravensdale, Co. Louth. These are the County Finals for the Louth Student Enterprise Programme., and running from 10.00hrs to 16.00hrs, is open to schools only. Another free event on Tuesday will be held in the Market House, Dunleer, when you can learn Top Hacks to Grow Your Business ... Fast: On from 09.30hrs to 12.30hrs, experts will share their top tips and tools to implement quickly to increase your business sales.

Wednesday 6th March will have more events to tempt eager entreprene­urs, when the d Hotel will host a seminar called “Inclusion is Good for Business” in associatio­n with M1 Skillnet, Drogheda Chamber and BD. The Ardee Food Hub is the venue for the Boyne Valley Flavours: Checklist to a Better Business. The seminar and clinics will help food businesses improve margins and efficiency.

You can find the Ardee Food Hub in Ardee Business Park and you can join in from 10.00hrs to 12.00hrs and again, it’s free!One of the Mill’s most successful regular events will be a higlught of the Enterprise Week, as Refresh Boyne: Drogheda Business Book Club meets up to Read, learn, discuss ... enjoy! All are welcome to join in from 18.00hrs to 19.30hrs. An innovation workshop for retailers across, Louth, Meath and Fingal will be held in the CityNorth Hotel, Gormanston, Co. Meath on Thursday 7th March.

Network Louth will celebrate Internatio­nal Women’s Day also, with an energising seminar by Orlaith Carmody (pictured) focussed on leadership in business. The venue will be the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk from 19.00hrs to 21.00hrs

The week will climax on Friday 8th March with the National Enterprise Awards Louth. This lunchtime event is on from noon in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk and as well as the Awards Ceremony hosted by Alison Comyn, there will be a special Guest Speaker. Proudly supported by Dundalk Credit Union.
