Plan­ning sought for Tin­nacross so­lar farm

Per­mis­sion is be­ing sought to build a new so­lar farm at Kil­l­abeg, Tin­nacross.

Re­new­able En­ergy Sys­tems Ltd has ap­plied to Wex­ford County Coun­cil for plan­ning per­mis­sion to build a ground mounted so­lar pho­to­voltaic farm at Kil­l­abeg.

The farm, if given the go ahead, will gen­er­ate re­new­able en­ergy on the 12.7 hectare site and will con­sist of so­lar ar­rrays, en­ergy stor­age, as­so­ci­ated elec­tri­cal in­fra­struc­ture, fenc­ing, ac­cess im­prove­ments and eco­log­i­cally ben­e­fi­cial land­scape works. The per­mis­sion would, if granted, be in place for 27 years.

Sub­mis­sions and ob­ser­va­tions on the ap­pli­ca­tion should be made to the plan­ning de­part­ment of Wex­ford County Coun­cil within five weeks.
