Drove without car insurance
DRIVING while uninsured has resulted in a €400 fine and a two year driving ban for Airt Donaghy (28) of 88 Pearse Road, Enniscorthy.
The charge arose from an incident at Bellefield on January 1, 2016. The defendant’s vehicle was involved in a collision after which he stopped briefly before leaving the scene. It later transpired that he was driving without insurance.
Solicitor John Burke O’Leary said that his client believed he was insured at the time, but it later turned out he wasn’t.
Upon hearing all the evidence, Judge Haughton handed down the fine and ban.
