Adrian Murphy of 21 Andy Doyle Close was banned from October 5, 2013 and tolld the court that at the time he was going through ‘emotional and financial difficulties’.

‘I regret my actions,’ he said before explaining to the court that he had been promoted to the position of bar manager in work and that he lived five miles from work and had to walk, cycle or take taxis to get there. He also said he has a son who is frequently unwell.

There were no garda objections to the restoration and Judge Haughton agreed to give him back his licence from January 1.
