Stage is set for a night of com­edy in Bun­clody

BUN­CLODY/Kilmyshall Drama Group are all geared up for a four night run of their Au­tumn com­edy ‘ The Man from Cler­i­han’ in Red­mond’s Loft, Main Street. Bun­clody. The play, writ­ten by Paul Ma­her, will run nightly from Sat­ur­day, Novem­ber 18 to Tues­day, Novem­ber 21 at 9 p.m.

A side-split­ting tale, it tells the story of Wil­lie Clear, the man from Cler­i­han, whoo in­sists that Mary Kate, the widow of his friend, owes him money. A se­ri­ous stand­off en­sues, com­pli­cated by the ac­tions of Mary Kate’s younger sis­ter, Angie, who is ad­dicted to ro­man­tic nov­els and muffins. Quotes from J.M. Synge and Yeats, how­ever, ten­u­ous, to­gether with ac­cu­sa­tions, in­sults and ro­man­tic over­tures com­bine to make this a one act com­edy you won’t want to miss.

The show will be un­der the direc­tor­ship of Michael Dun­bar and fea­tures a cast of Martina Finn from Bun­clody and Niall Kennedy and Joan Lam­bert from Ballindag­gin. To re­serve your seat, text 085 1232576.
