Stage is set for a night of comedy in Bunclody
BUNCLODY/Kilmyshall Drama Group are all geared up for a four night run of their Autumn comedy ‘ The Man from Clerihan’ in Redmond’s Loft, Main Street. Bunclody. The play, written by Paul Maher, will run nightly from Saturday, November 18 to Tuesday, November 21 at 9 p.m.
A side-splitting tale, it tells the story of Willie Clear, the man from Clerihan, whoo insists that Mary Kate, the widow of his friend, owes him money. A serious standoff ensues, complicated by the actions of Mary Kate’s younger sister, Angie, who is addicted to romantic novels and muffins. Quotes from J.M. Synge and Yeats, however, tenuous, together with accusations, insults and romantic overtures combine to make this a one act comedy you won’t want to miss.
The show will be under the directorship of Michael Dunbar and features a cast of Martina Finn from Bunclody and Niall Kennedy and Joan Lambert from Ballindaggin. To reserve your seat, text 085 1232576.
