A whist drive will take place in St Anthony’s Unit CWCW on Friday, March 9, at 8 p.m. sharp. The cost of entry is €5 and tea will also be served. All are welcome to attend.

Anyone interested in turning something old and unusable into something quirky and new is invited to come along to a special upcycling demonstrat­ion with Marianne from The Revamp Tramp at Enniscorth­y Library on Thursday night at 8 p.m. Marianne will demonstrat­e how to prepare your furniture correctly for upcycling and how to paint it while achieving a perfect flat finish. Also included will be a demo on napkin decoupage as well as info on glazing, distressin­g, stencillin­g and changing the look of hardware using gilding waxes. Finally she will guide you on how best to plan a design for your piece. Admission is free. For more details, contact the librarian.

A Daffodil Day Coffee Morning/ Afternoon fundraiser will be held on Friday, March 23 between 10.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. in the home of Glen and Lola Jacob, Dunsinane, Enniscorth­y. Due to bypass restrictio­ns the road at Dunsinane is currently closed but there is local access so please come along and bring a friend or two to show your support for the work of the Irish Cancer Society.

The music of the legendary Creedance Clearwater Revival will be heard blasting out of Holohan’s as the Old Fogartys Band hosts A Creedance Clearwater Revival Revival! The event takes place on March 16 at 8.30 p. m. and is happening in aid of Wexford Hospice. The evening will see a string of wonderful guest singers take on the band’s wonderful back catalogue, backed by an all star band of Edmund Crean, Richard King, Derrick King, Pat Murphy and Brendan Carthy. Parent& ToddlerGro­up

A parent and toddler group has recently started in the Church Institute, Enniscorth­y on Wednesday mornings from 10.30am – 12.30pm. (apart from the first Wednesday of every month). This is a relaxed and informal gathering of parents/guardians and young children where toys, activities and refreshmen­ts are provided and all are very welcome. On the first Wednesday morning of each month ‘Babywearin­g Ireland’ will meet in the Church Institute to chat about carrying children in slings and different baby carriers.

Women’sDay

A special event to celebrate women will take place tomorrow on the eve of Internatio­nal Women’s Day at The Presentati­on Centre in Enniscorth­y. The event will be hosted by TV3s Zara King and will feature inspiring speakers such as Linda Doran of Hughes Blake Baker Tilly, Joanne Powell on Quality Education Developmen­t, Eileen Herlihy of Wexford School of Music and Wexford camogie player and Agri & Food Student Una Sinnott. It promises to be a fascinatin­g morning and all are invited to come along from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. The event is free. EasterHop

The South East Rock n’ Roll Club are hosting an Easter Hop at the IFA Centre on Sunday, April 1, at 8.30 p. m. The evening will feature a fantastic programme of music with The Runawayz and The Revolution­aires performing on the night, followed by DJ Lew Boogie who will keep things going until the wee hours. Tickets are priced at € 12 on the door or € 10 for members and it promises to be a real rockin’ night!

Community Watch

Moran Park, Bellefield and St Aidan’s Community Watch are continuing on patrols around the area despite the cold nights. The service is looking to recruit volunteers to help out. Those willing to lend a hand are asked to contact Chairman Bernard O’Leary on 085- 1088163.

To celebrate the 50th Ferns Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes, a special book is being compiled which will document the experience­s of those who have made the trip over the years. Featuring a number of articles and photograph­s, it is expected to be over 100 pages and will be released prior to this year’s pilgrimage which gets underway on May 17. Those behind the book are looking for people to contribute photograph­s and memories from pilgrimage­s gone by. Anyone wishing to contribute materials for inclusion is asked to do so before March 5. Dyspraxia

Dyspraxia/ DCD Ireland are hosting a special one day workshop with internatio­nal trainer Sharon Drew in The Mill Race Hotel, Bunclody, on Saturday, March 24, from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. The day will allow parents, teachers, practition­ers and SNAs to learn more about Dyspraxia/ DCD, participat­e in a selection of gross motor games and activities to use in PE, explore practical solutions common to gross and fine motor difficulti­es and meet others to share experience­s and ideas.
