Pol­ish man found with drugs worth over €13,000 is re­manded in cus­tody

A POL­ISH na­tional who pleaded guilty to the pos­ses­sion of drugs to the value of more than €13,000 was fur­ther re­manded in cus­tody for sen­tenc­ing.

Ryszard Klim­czak, of Apart­ment 3, Chapel Lane, Bun­clody, ap­peared be­fore Judge Cor­mac Quinn at Wex­ford Cir­cuit Crim­i­nal Court.

The de­fen­dant pleaded guilty to the pos­ses­sion of cannabis, am­phet­a­mine and co­caine for sale or sup­ply on July 28, 2016, at Apart­ment 3, Chapel Lane, Bun­clody,

De­fence Coun­sel Philip Shea­han said the de­fen­dant is in cus­tody and he would ap­ply for a gover­nor’s re­port. He said the de­fen­dant is get­ting on well in cus­tody. He also asked for the prepa­ra­tion of a pro­ba­tion and wel­fare re­port. He is 28 years of age with no pre­vi­ous con­vic­tions.

Judge Quinn said he would re­mand the de­fen­dant in cus­tody for sen­tenc­ing on Jan­uary 11 next.
