Horseshoes round-up

THE FIRST horseshoes turkey tournament was held in Ferns on Sunday. There was, unfortunately, a very low turn-out.

Final: Richard Collier (Doran’s Bridge) and Tom Rossiter (Cooney’s, Cranford) beat Wally Dempsey (Vinegar Hill) and Dean Collier (Doran’s Bridge), 21-13.

Congratulations to the winners. The tournament will be on next week, weather permitting, and if not the following weekend.
