Night of wizardry in library

-

ENNISCORTHY library will be transformed into a place of magic, mystery and intrigue on Thursday, February 7, when it plays host to Harry Potter night.

It will be fifth annual night of celebration with regard to the boy wizard and is sure to attract, as usual, a capacity crowd to the venue.

It’s an initiative that is celebrated all over the world and this year the theme will be Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The fun kicks off at 6 p.m. and is expected to last until 7.15 p.m. A spokesperson for the library commented that ‘young wizards, witches and muggles will be treated to an evening of mag- ical games [and] readings from our favourite Harry Potter books and lots more’. People are being encouraged to go along in costume and there will be prizes for those who are best dressed. The advice is for people to ‘grab their robes and toads’ and book their place at the desk, in person, or over the phone through 053 9236055. The event will be suitable for people aged between 8 and 13, and admission will be freeof-charge.

Everyone is welcome to attend and if a person requires additional assistance to be able to fully participate they are asked to contact the librarian on the number above.
