The Bleeding Pig Cultural Festival 2017 takes place this week. On Thursday, the weekend gets off to a musical start with an evening of music and singing in the Waterside Hotel. ‘Singalong or Sing-a-song’ will feature the Tower Singing Circle, Smyth’s Crew, the Noname Band and lots more. Friday sees various events in the three primary schools on the peninsula. On Friday evening St. Patrick’s RC Church plays host to a Gala Concert. The concert will boast performances from, among others, The Young Dublin Symphonia, the Lambay Singers, and local traditional musician Eamonn Galldubh. Saturday and Sunday have full timetables of events. Ranging from a Pop-up Planetarium to Performances and Recitations, Ballroom Dancing to Walking Tours, and Art & Craft Workshops to Puppet Workshops there will be something of interest for everyone.
