AS part of the build up to the Laser-run world cham­pi­onship in Dublin in Septem­ber 2018, Pen­tathlon Ire­land held its first ever Laser-run event on Ir­ish soil.

In part­ner­ship with Fin­gal County Coun­cil Pen­tathlon Ire­land host the Fin­gal Laser-run at Swords Cas­tle.

As seen on Celebrity Op­er­a­tion Trans­for­ma­tion, the for­mat was as sim­ple as it was chal­leng­ing.

Par­tic­i­pants had to run at speed through a set course whilst keep­ing enough in re­serve to aim true and shoot straight with the laser-pis­tol. And then re­peat that four times for the ul­ti­mate test of run­ning, com­po­sure, stam­ina and strat­egy.

This event was aimed at ev­ery­one from eight years and over and proved be a fun, fam­ily friendly and ex­cit­ing event.
