Nursing home worker is in running for top industry honour
A FINGAL-BASED nursing home worker is in the running for a prestigious award.
Sharon Hennessy, St Doolagh’s Park Care & Rehabilitation Centre, Balgriffin has been nominated in the Nursing Home Director of Nursing/ Person in Charge Award in the Nursing Homes Ireland Care Awards 2017, in association with Homecare Medical Supplies.
27 finalists across a range of disciplines within the nursing home sector are going forward to the national awards ceremony final that will take place Thursday at Citywest Hotel.

The awards recognise excellent care provided across a range of disciplines within nursing homes and innovative practice in care provision.
There are three finalists within nine award categories and the integral role of residents within nursing home life is recognised through a special resident achievement award. The North Dublin finalists and their award categories are:
Tadhg Daly, Nursing Homes Ireland CEO, congratulated the finalists. ‘To reach the final of this national awards ceremony is a fantastic achievement. Entries of an exceptional standard were received from communities across the country, from people who work, live and visit nursing homes.
