This Fri­day sees the re­turn of Light­ning Com­edy night to the ‘D’ Parish’ or up­stairs at the Lord Mayor’s Pub in other words. With lo­cal play­wright and ac­tor, David Gilna as MC for the night, you are in ca­pa­ble hands and the night is head­line by Aoife Doo­ley. A bolt of laugh­ter is guar­an­teed and tick­ets are avail­able on the door or on eventbrite.ie. With lo­cal acts Rob­bie Ford , Danny Bal­lance and the re­turn of lo­cal favourite Mags Mchugh af­ter her suc­cess­ful run at The Ed­in­burgh Fringe Fes­ti­val. The best of up and com­ing Ir­ish co­me­di­ans and some well es­tab­lished acts. Al­ways a rip roar­ing night of laugh­ter, this Fri­day sees the wel­come re­turn of this pop­u­lar com­edy night hosted by the multi-tal­ente, David Gilna. The full line-up for the night is Aoife Doo­ley, Mags Mchugh, Derek Burke, Sean Be­g­ley, Rob­bie Ford, Linda Hay­den, Orla O’do­herty Brown, Danny Bal­lance, Dakota Mick and Brian Gal­lagher. Doors Open 8pm and the show starts at 8:30pm. It’s a must for all you lo­cal com­edy fans so go along and have a laugh. As part of the Dublin The­atre Fes­ti­val 2018, Draíocht present ‘Home The­atre’ this week which links res­i­dents of the sur­round­ing Fin­gal com­mu­nity with artists and writ­ers in a bid to cre­ate the­a­ture. Start­ing Wed­nes­day in the main au­di­to­rium at Draiocht, the re­sults will be brought to life as a host of new writ­ing tal­ent bring a taset of life in Dublin 15 to the stage over four nights at the Blan­chard­stown the­atre - a fan­tas­tic and in­no­va­tive project.
