Celine remembered in walk from the Naul
A young Naul woman who spent the last years of her life raising money to fight the disease she eventually succumbed to will be remembered.
The Dare 2 Care fun run and walk over 5k or 8k will take place on Sunday, October 14 in Naul, in memory of Celine Reilly Flynn.
Celine Reilly Flynn was born and raised in Naul Village and at an all too young age, in April of 2016, Celine was diagnosed with breast cancer.
During her treatment Celine committed herself to raising funds and awareness for a charity very close to her heart, called NECRET (North East Cancer Research & Education Trust) who support the Oncology Unit, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
Unfortunately after a brave and courageous battle, Celine lost her fight with cancer in July 2017 and now her family and friends are carrying on her wish in fundraising for this charity to help fight cancer.
If you walked in 2016 with Celine, perhaps you will walk in her memory this year, on October 14.
This year’s walk starts at 10am from Naul Square. There will also be some fun pre-race activities including a warm up at 9.45am with members of the local Dublin ladies All-ireland winning team.
Donation buckets will be placed in the village and within the car park grounds on the morning of the walk.
Refreshments will be provided afterwards by kind permission of the Seamus Ennis Arts Centre and a really fabulous raffle will take place also.
Car Parking will be available Clann Mhuire GAA grounds.
It promises to be a great fun day and a celebration of Celine’s life all in support of a very good cause.
Celine Reilly Flynn.
