bundling the ball home from close range. It was 3-0 just before the break when Stephen Larkin sent a fine ball into the left channel which was picked up by Andy Haran. Haran looked up before squaring to Sean Lynch who swivelled on a sixpence before burying the ball into the bottom corner. That was the last real talking point of an excellent opening half for Glebe, who looked to be in cruise control.

The second half saw Glenville have more of a go at Glebe, but they just couldn’t find a way past a stubborn rearguard despite seeing plenty of the ball. The game was put to bed with 20 minutes remaining as Adam Foley scored a spectacular goal.

Chris Polis found Foley in space on the left and the flying winger ran 40 yards before unleashing an excellent shot to make it 4-0.
