O’dwyer’s and Lusk progress

CIAN Nulty had an out­stand­ing game as O’dwyer’s se­cured their place in the knock­out stages of the Mi­nor E Cham­pi­onship fol­low­ing a 1-13 to 3-3 win in their group four clash at Bal­brig­gan.

The cen­tre half back showed great hands, while Stephen Dowl­ing was also great at cor­ner back in a game wi­hich saw Yonas Kashay find the back of the net.

It was an im­por­tant day in the Mi­nor C Cham­pi­onship, with Luke Caul giv­ing an out­stand­ing dis­play at cen­tre back as Round Tow­ers Lusk booked their place in the knock­out stages with a 3-14 to 2-12 win away to Geral­dine Mo­rans.

Stephen Moore grabbed the de­ci­sive goal with five min­utes to go af­ter brother David had his shot blocked by the keeper. They now face neigh­bours St Maur’s, with Johnathan Han­ratty and Stephen Bo­gan grab­bing two goals each in their 5-13 to 1-9 win over Na Fianna.

In Group 3 Dublin un­der­age player Dar­ragh Power and Barry Rodgers were amongst the goals as Fin­gal­lians de­feated Naomh Mearnog 3-14 to 2-12.
