Mo­torist banned from driv­ing

RICHARD Ber­gin of Clone in Cour­town was banned from driv­ing for two years at the District Court sit­ting in Gorey.

The pros­e­cu­tion for a mo­tor in­sur­ance of­fence was taken by Garda Michael Dee af­ter he stopped Ber­gin at The Park, Clonat­tin Vil­lage on July 7, 2015.

So­lic­i­tor David Tar­rant was in court but told Judge Gerard Haughton his client was ‘stuck in Cork’ af­ter re­cently ob­tain­ing em­ploy­ment.

The case went ahead, with a fine of €400 im­posed along with the two year dis­qual­i­fi­ca­tion.
