Travel writ­ers visit Wex­ford

FIVE top travel writ­ers from France ex­plored Wex­ford and Ire­land’s An­cient East re­cently as guests of Tourism Ire­land, Fáilte Ire­land and Ir­ish Fer­ries.

Rep­re­sent­ing var­i­ous print and on­line pub­li­ca­tions, with a com­bined read­er­ship of more than 2.7 mil­lion peo­ple – or po­ten­tial French hol­i­day­mak­ers – the jour­nal­ists were in the county to find out more about our su­perb vis­i­tor ex­pe­ri­ences in Wex­ford and Ire­land’s An­cient East.

The group sailed to Ross­lare and their itin­er­ary in­cluded Tu­cumshane Wind­mill and the Ir­ish Na­tional Her­itage Park.

They also vis­ited Kil­more Quay, where the group ex­plored the vil­lage and en­joyed lunch at the Sil­ver Fox Seafood Res­tau­rant.

They stayed at the Seafield Ho­tel & Spa Re­sort and dined in Marl­field House, in Gorey.
