Gardiner Grain scoop top award in Galway
THE HARD-WORKING people at Gardiner Grain have picked up a national award for retailing animal health supplies.
They recently won ‘Independent Store of the Year’ at the All Star Animal Health Awards in the Clayton Hotel, Galway.
They entered the Gorey store at Millands for the competition and were delighted to be shortlisted in the agri-health category for independent store of the year, for stores with under ten people employed.
‘We were thrilled to be selected,’ said Noreen Kelly of Gardiner Grain. ‘We beat off stores from all over the country. To sell animal health supplies you have to do courses and hold qualifications.’
To celebrate, they are inviting their customers to join them in Carnew on Thursday, October 12; in Coolgreany on Tuesday, October 17; in Gorey on Thursday, October 26; and in Avoca on Friday, November 3. A barbecue will be served until 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served all day, and there will be information on services and products, and special offers.
