JAKUB MALYSZ of 6 Char­lotte Grove, Gorey was fined €500 for pub­lic or­der of­fences com­mit­ted on Au­gust 23 last year on Main Street.

He was dis­cov­ered on the af­ter­noon in ques­tion in a highly in­tox­i­cated con­di­tion shout­ing ob­scen­i­ties at passers-by.

He be­came ag­i­tated when gar­daí in­ter­vened, Judge Ger­ard Haughton sit­ting at the lo­cal Dis­trict Court was told.

The out­come was a fine of €200 for pub­lic drunk­en­ness and a fur­ther penalty of €300 for the abu­sive be­hav­iour.
