A warm, wel­com­ing evening

THE LON­DON-WEX­FORD As­so­ci­a­tion held its an­nual buffet dance at the Rail­way Club in Crick­le­wood, Lon­don, re­cently. There was there was a good at­ten­dance at the warm and wel­com­ing func­tion, which was well re­ceived by ev­ery­one.

Among the at­ten­dance were a num­ber of coun­cil­lors from County Wex­ford who had made the trip across the Ir­ish Sea for the func­tion.

They in­cluded Cllr Bar­bara-Anne Mur­phy, vice-chair per­son of Wex­ford County Coun­cil, Cllr Joe Sul­li­van, cathaoir­leach of Gorey Mu­nic­i­pal Dis­trict, Cllr Rob­bie Ire­ton, Gorey Mu­nic­i­pal Dis­trict, Cllr Wil­lie Fitzhar­ris, cathaoir­leach of New Ross Mu­nic­i­pal Dis­trict, Cllr Michael Shee­han, New Ross Mu­nic­i­pal Dis­trict, and Cllr Ge­orge Lawlor, Wex­ford Bor­ough Dis­trict.

The or­gan­is­ers said they wanted to say a big thank-you to all who at­tended the func­tion and to all the spon­sors, es­pe­cially to Justin Ffrench, and also to all who do­nated raf­fle prizes and who sup­ports the Lon­don-Wex­ford As­so­ci­a­tion through­out the year. They also thanked Emily Cronin for the sump­tu­ous food which was en­joyed by the guests.

Pre­sen­ta­tions were made to the hon­orary guests and the night con­cluded with a raf­fle. Cllr Lawlor con­trib­uted to the event with ren­di­tions of some beau­ti­ful bal­lads.
