Jobs in Wex­ford in­crease

WEX­FORD saw a three per cent in­crease in job va­can­cies dur­ing the third quar­ter of the year ac­cord­ing to the Ir­ Jobs In­dex.

Ac­cord­ing to the lat­est fig­ures hos­pi­tal­ity ac­counted for the largest share of job va­can­cies na­tion­ally at 14 per cent fol­lowed by bank­ing and fi­nance, both at 10 per cent, sales (9 per cent) and tech (8 per cent.)

The fig­ures show Wex­ford con­tin­ues to per­form well in terms of new business growth. In the third quar­ter of this year the county posted a 7 per cent in­crease in job va­can­cies on the same pe­riod last year and 3 per cent from the sec­ond quar­ter of 2017.

The Ir­ Jobs In­dex is a key in­di­ca­tor of the jobs mar­ket.
