65 acre site up for auction in February

Gorey Guardian - - NEWS -

MORE than 60 acres of roadside holding at Brideswell, Askamore is due to be put up for sale by public auction.

The auction for the 65 acre site will take place on Wednesday, February 28, at 3pm, in Quinn Property, Carnew.

‘The guide price works out at €8,000 to €10,000 per acre,’ said Clíona Woodburn from Quinn Property.

The land is laid out in four separate lots all in close proximity. Three of the sites have good road frontage onto the Carnew/Camolin road, while the fourth is accessed over a hard-core laneway.

It may be offered in the following lots: 17.2 acres; 16.4 acres; 17.4 acres; 14 acres. Given its location, there may be potential for a residential site on some of the lots.

The subject holding is situated in north Wexford, 5 km from both Carnew and Craanford and 15 km from Gorey.

The land is generally of excellent quality, free draining with 60 acres currently in tillage and the remaining in grazing but the lands are suited for any agricultural use.
