PATRON/FIELD-DAY

Thanks to the hard work of the committee and the brilliant weather, the annual patron and field-day were a great success. Almost €11,200 was collected between the field-day, the ‘Big Draw’ and the cemetery gate collection. Full details of all the money collected are available on this week’s Mass leaflet.

James O’Loughlin won the mobile phone raffled, with Caroline Farrington winning a €100 voucher in the Hamper Draw. Breda Sweeny won a bottle of wine, Ger Turner a tin of biscuits, Robyn O’Loughlin a tin of biscuits and Nahla Sweeney a box of sweets in the same draw. Bernie Flood won’t be cold this winter, as she won a trailer load of sticks.

The beautiful handmade quilt was won by Paddy Walsh while Bill Moulds won the €150 top prize in the ‘Big Draw’. Second prize, €100, went to Áine O’Loughlin, Tony Doran took the €50 third prize and the two €25 prizes were won by Dara Dillon and Thomas Murphy. Liz Furlong won the prize for the ‘Guess the Weight of the Cake’ competition.

The organising committee would like to thank all those who attended and supported the fundraiser, those who volunteered and came together to prepare the field, those who collected tickets and goods, those who manned the stalls and anyone
