Convicted for a second time
NEUZA Guerreiro of 2 Chapelwood, Kilmuckridge was banned from driving for four years as a second motor insurance conviction was added to her record.
The part-time barber and mother of three was intercepted at Rosbercon in New Ross on August 26 last year.
The garda on duty noted that the insurance disc on display had expired in May of that year.
Ms Guerreiro admitted at the scene that she could not afford to tax the vehicle.
Dealing with the matter at Wexford District Court, Judge Gerard Haughton noted a previous conviction for driving without cover, imposed at the Circuit Court in 2015.
He set a fine of €400 and added the mandatory loss of licence for four years.
