Born in Dublin in 1971, Tyaransen spent his formative years in Galway. He began writing for Hot Press in 1991 and has since gone on to establish a national profile as one of Ireland’s most adventurous and controversial scribes. His poetry has appeared in numerous anthologies and journals, and has been broadcast on RTE radio and the BBC World Service. Further publications include his autobiographical odyssey The Story Of O, and Sex Lines: Adventures In The Erotic Underground.
