Sara Baume is one of Ireland’s best young writers. Born to nomadic parents while they travelled around in a caravan, Sara spent her formative years in County Cork, before studying fine art at Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design and creative writing at Trinity College. Her second novel, A Line Made By Walking, beautifully portrayed the breakdown of an artist in rural Ireland and was one of the finest books of 2017. She talks to us about how she and her boyfriend discovered “the most ridiculous thing” they can do on Christmas Day.
