Little Steven Returns To Dublin
Having played an absolute blinder last year in Vicar St. - there were 14 of them then! - Little Steven And The Disciples Of Soul are paying a return trip to Dublin on June 28 for a show in the Button Factory. Tickets are €49.65.
The moonlighting E Street Band-er will be showcasing his cracking Soulfire album, plus older Disciples material and some seriously choice covers.
Knowing Steve, he’ll probably find time to present a live edition of his Little Steven’s Underground Garage show, which airs locally on Dublin City FM.
Meanwhile, his – and our! – Boss has announced the May 18 release of Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 2 1987-1996, a limited-edition, numbered box-set, which in addition to his long out-of-print LPs from that era includes 1988’s live Chimes Of Freedom EP, his 1993 MTV Plugged special and 1996’s ultra-rare Blood Brothers EP.
A 60-page book featuring rarely seen photos, memorabilia and original press clippings completes the tasty 10-disc package.
There’s no sign of the E Street Band re-convening any time soon with Bruce announcing another run of 81 Broadway shows, which will keep him busy all the way through until Christmas.
