PAT KENNY, IAN WIL­SON, MAR­GARET NEL­SON AND WIL­LIE O’REILLY IN­DUCTED INTO IMRO HALL OF FAME

Each year the IMRO Ra­dio Awards in­ducts new mem­bers into its pres­ti­gious Hall of Fame, with the 2018 re­cip­i­ents rang­ing from broad­cast­ing leg­end Pat Kenny to CEO of FM104/Q102 Mar­garet Nel­son. Also in­ducted this year are ra­dio veter­ans best known for their be­hind the scenes work, Wil­lie O’Reilly and Ian Wil­son. The Hall of Fame event took place on Septem­ber 25 in the BAI Of­fices.

2018 was a first, with Ian Wil­son join­ing his wife, Áine Lawlor, as the first cou­ple to both be in­ducted into the Hall of Fame.The IMRO Hall of Fame Awards hon­our in­di­vid­u­als work­ing in the ra­dio in­dus­try, who have made a sig­nif­i­cant and valu­able con­tri­bu­tion to ra­dio over the course of their ca­reers.

The award is open to nom­i­na­tions for on-air per­son­nel, and also to those work­ing be­hind the scenes who are im­pact­ing and mak­ing pos­i­tive change for the in­dus­try as a whole in Ire­land.
