You can’t out-train a bad diet. Ex­er­cise alone won’t change your physique and an hour at the gym does not earn you a brownie. It’s funny how of­ten we jus­tify our bad food choices be­cause ‘I worked out to­day’. But a sin­gle work­out – even an in­tense one – won’t come close to can­celling out a big binge. If weight loss is your goal, you have to stay on track and avoid go­ing on week­end or late-night binges, oth­er­wise you’ll be fight­ing – and los­ing – an up­hill bat­tle. The same goes for your diet: im­prov­ing your diet will re­sult in some weight loss, but your body won’t nec­es­sar­ily look strong and lean if you aren’t reg­u­larly work­ing those mus­cles.
