LATE nights and in­suf­fi­cient sleep could con­trib­ute to male in­fer­til­ity, say re­searchers at Harbin Med­i­cal Univer­sity in China. In a study of 980 healthy men, they found those who had six hours or less sleep had lower sperm counts — it’s thought sleep de­pri­va­tion trig­gers re­lease of a pro­tein pro­duced by the im­mune sys­tem that de­stroys sperm.
