SHE’S more used to arriving at events in a limo, ready to step on to the red carpet.

But when in Rome... Helen Mirren hopped on a bus, right, to publicise her new film.

She has taken her latest movie, Winchester, in which plays an eccentric heiress haunted by lost souls in her California mansion, to Italy.

The Oscar-winning actress showed off her unconventional entrance on Instagram, captioning the picture: ‘Arriving at the premiere for Winchester in Rome… by bus!’

The custom black bus was decorated with lace in honour of her character.

The horror is based on the true story of Sarah Winchester (Mirren), who was convinced she was being haunted by the spirits of people killed by the rifle her family manufactured. After a series of bereavements, she threw herself into building her sprawling mansion.

Helen clearly got stuck into the role, inset.
