It’s like living with a puppy... which Irish star is Eddie talking about?

Irish Daily Mail - - Life -

HE used to share a flat with a Hollywood A-lister and found that his housemate’s hyperactivity wore him out. And Eddie Redmayne, pictured, relived his time with this fellow heart-throb during an appearance on Good Morning America.

The 36-year-old, who was promoting his latest film Early Man on the US morning show, said that living with Co. Down actor Jamie Dornan was like ‘living with a puppy’ because of his abundance of energy.

Looking dapper as always in an RRL grey cardigan and Polo Ralph Lauren khaki cropped trousers, the Danish Girl star, pictured, took a trip though his old living arrangements with host George Stephanopoulos.

Eddie shared an apartment with the Irishman in their earlier years in the industry and there was an apparent ‘twilight zone’ every evening where Jamie had a sudden surge in energy.

The English actor told GMA on Tuesday: ‘Basically, it was like living with a puppy because he has more energy than any human being you’ve ever met. There’s sort of a twilight zone between 5pm and 6pm when he just goes insane.’

Fifty Shades Of Grey star Jamie, 35, who is now married to actress Amelia Warner, had previously revealed that he and Eddie were ‘desperate’ when they used to live together, as both of them struggled to get their feet off the ground in the film industry.

Asked what it was like living with the Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them star, Jamie said: ‘Desperate.’

‘We were both very desperate, you know it was slim pickings in those days for work – the idea was that you’d come out and all go to the same sort of auditions.’

And with both of them struggling to find work at the beginning of their careers, the pair used to fall out over how many scripts each of them received.

Jamie revealed: ‘We both had the same agent at the time and I remember on the second day, one of the couriers arrived with 25 scripts and Eddie and I were like, “Who’s it for?” It was for me.

‘Eddie didn’t take it that well. He was calling his agent saying, “Jamie just got sent a loads of scripts”. About an hour later a courier arrived with the exact same stack of scripts.’

Later on Tuesday, Eddie was hard to miss in his vibrant red coat and white runners as he stepped out in New York.

With his flat-sharing days behind him, the Academy Award-winning actor now lives with pregnant wife Hannah Bagshawe and their oneyear-old daughter Iris.

In November of last year, the couple confirmed that they were expecting baby number two.
