Cambodia PM snubs his rival

CAMBODIA’S prime minister Hun Sen has rejected a request from opposition leader Sam Rainsy for talks about the country’s political problems, denigrating his arch-rival as a traitor and a convict.

Hun Sen, pictured, was responding yesterday to a message posted on Sunday on Twitter by Mr Rainsy, a founder of the Cambodia National Rescue Party, which called for negotiations. Hun Sen said he was open to talks, but not with Mr Rainsy and his group.
