RIDDLE OVER ‘LAST PICTURE’

MYSTERY surrounds the identity of a couple caught on CCTV minutes before the attack, after a witness insisted it was not the former spy and his daughter.

In the footage, above, an older man and younger blonde woman carrying a bright red handbag are seen strolling through Salisbury. They appear to be holding hands and to glance up at the cameras.

A personal trainer from the gym whose cameras caught the pair said she later saw the same woman collapsed on a bench nearby. But others insisted former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, 66, was a bigger man, while his daughter Yulia, 33, was a brunette, not a blonde. Police will want to speak to the pair in the CCTV footage, but yesterday refused to comment on their identity.
