Lampard shows he has smarts to make the grade

-

FRANK LAMPARD is new to football management. And Chelsea’s former barn-storming midfielder landed himself in some trouble when he got too tetchy on the sideline last weekend as he watched Derby lose 1-0 to Rotherham in the English Championship. Lampard (right) got directed far away from the dugout by officials, and he also got his knuckles wrapped by the Football Association and fined. But, smartly — and showing that he might have the quick-thinking to get to the very top in management — Lampard avoided getting into further strife when asked about the performance of the match referee. ‘The best referees make less mistakes,’ stated the new team boss adroitly. ANTHONY JOSHUA, hopefully, will stay on track this evening against Russian challenger Alexander Povetkin and show once again that Tyson Fury’s hopeless claims to be the one true heavyweight champ on the planet — because of the ‘lineage’ of the many world titles out there — are the purest form of tommyrot. We’d also like Joshua (right) to stay unbeaten so that he can personally convince Fury of this fact when they finally meet up next year.
