Effort to block Venezuela aid

THE Venezuelan military has attempted to block humanitarian aid from entering the country by barricading a bridge at a key border crossing.

The bridge was blocked by a fuel tanker, cargo trailer and makeshift fencing at the Colombian border town of Cucuta.

Opposition leader Juan Guaido, above, has said emergency food and medicine will begin flowing into Venezuela, despite objections by embattled President Nicolas Maduro.
