Lengthy jail term for Swift’s sleepy stalker

A MAN who broke into Taylor Swift’s townhouse in New York City and took a nap has been jailed for six months. The New York Post reported that 22-year-old Roger Alvarado, of Homestead, Florida, was sentenced on Tuesday after pleading guilty to criminal contempt and attempted burglary. Alvarado plans to return to Florida after his jail stint, which is nearly finished, and serve five years’ probation, according to The Post. He must also complete a mental-health programme. The court heard previously that officers found Alvarado asleep in the pop star’s home in the Tribeca area of Manhattan in April. Police said he had also used her shower. The 29-year-old singer, pictured, was not at home during the break-in.
