An Irish hideout and Spanish get out of jail card

-

SPANISH law makes it easy peasy for the greedy, with Jose Mourinho following in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi by getting a light tap on the wrist for not paying up his fair share.

Mourinho (below) owed almost €3.3 million in undeclared image rights revenue — which is one-fifth of what he received when Manchester United sent him flying out the back door of the club last December — and, according to reports, hid his extra loot away in the British Virgin Islands, and here in Ireland, instead of letting anyone know about it. The three amigos had no idea about the very notion of everyone in a country doing their ‘fair share’.

Others in the same rich league as Mourinho and Co will come to the same conclusion, and with Spain refusing to make an example of them, and not at all bothered about locking up anyone who gets less than a two years prison sentence in such cases (the Especially Special Greedy One got 12 months), why shouldn’t others in game conclude that it’s better not to pay up until they get caught?

Made total sense to Jose.
