and the HSE have warned people not to be duped by a scam in which fraudsters pose as contact tracers and look for money for Covid-19 test kits and results

The scammers’ calls and text messages claim the person has been identified as a close contact of someone who has Covid-19 and ask for money for a testing kit to be sent to them and for bank details. The HSE said it does not charge the public for Covid19-related services and such texts and calls should be ignored.

Anyone with who is suspicious about such texts and calls should call the HSE Live number on 1850 24 1850 or contact gardaí.
