Public pay deal backed by 4 unions

FOUR more public ser­vice unions ac­cepted a new public ser­vice pay deal yes­ter­day. The agree­ment is now to be signed off by a large ma­jor­ity. Ir­ish Nurses and Mid­wives Or­gan­i­sa­tion mem­bers voted 75% to 25% in favour of the Public Ser­vice Sta­bil­ity deal. Health Min­is­ter Si­mon Har­ris last night said: “I be­lieve this pos­i­tive vote is in the best in­ter­ests of mem­bers.” The Civil Public and Ser­vices Union, the Ir­ish Med­i­cal Or­gan­i­sa­tion and the Ir­ish Fed­er­a­tion of Univer­sity Teach­ers also backed the agree­ment.
