Public pay deal backed by 4 unions
FOUR more public service unions accepted a new public service pay deal yesterday. The agreement is now to be signed off by a large majority. Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation members voted 75% to 25% in favour of the Public Service Stability deal. Health Minister Simon Harris last night said: “I believe this positive vote is in the best interests of members.” The Civil Public and Services Union, the Irish Medical Organisation and the Irish Federation of University Teachers also backed the agreement.
